Charm Bracelet

bead hold bracelet.gif

Ingredients

- 20cm chain

- headpins

- 3mm or 4mm jumprings

- toggle or clasp

- selection of feature beads (various sizes)

- spacers/washers

- charms

Recipe

- Along the length of your chain, plan out how many beads and charms you wish to use.

- Thread the beads onto headpins, remembering to use spacers/washers if needed.  If you are unsure, making an eye or a pyramid shape with the beads works well.

 - Cut your headpin 1cm above your bead and make a lollipop loop using round nose pilers.

 - Using a jumpring, attach the loop in the headpin to the chain.

- Continue making lollipop loops and attaching your beads to the chain until you are happy.

- Charms can be attached with jumprings to the chain. Don’t forget your Pink Ribbon charm!

 - At the correct length, jumpring on your clasp or toggle.  Enjoy!

Tips

- If you know how to wrap, beads can be wrapped onto the chain instead of using jumprings.

- If you have not made lollipop loops before, then tigertail and crimps can be used to attach the beads to the chain.

- Take 5cm of tigertail and thread it through a link in the chain.  Fold the tigertail in half and slide a crimp over both ends.  Squash crimp close to the chain.  Thread on beads and then crimp.  Cut off remaining tigertail.

 - This technique can also be used to create bag or cellphone charms.  Cut chain to the desired length and attach bead sets and charms with headpins.
